Bristol City 2- Saints 0

By: David | February 15th, 2009

Maybe this whole football thing isn’t as hard as some people like to make out, because City are currently making it look very easy. I hope I will be excused any tinges of smugness or arrogance that will undoubtedly litter this post but it really is great times right now. In fact the facts can speak for themselves-
-5 wins in a row
-7 wins in 8
-now just 1 point off the play-offs (although played a game more than most of the teams around us)

And what’s more we are scoring goals- obviously this goes hand in hand with our winning streak, but none the less many (myself included) have at various time this season doubt our strike force. Not so much as individual, more our lack of attacking style and confidence when going forward. But as always it appears Gary knows best and now we really seem like a team that can trouble defences, with a host of players contributing to the goals recently, including Ivan Sproule’s memorable mad dash in this game.

as for the game- well last week i said things such as

“wining is winning regardless of how hard fought, refereeing decision or penalties. and right now city just keep on winning
it may be more of the same for city but while we’re winning i’ll be very happy with that”

And that’s pretty much what I got. It was indeed another hard fought and close match with a team we would hope, and probably expect to beat. And again we struggled to stay consistent from start to finish. And yet again, we have the 3 points. Delicious.

Match reports from City + BBC(nice chat with Johnson on the audio of this one thats worth a listen)

I was going to mention that how troublesome our upcoming fixtures appear, and to not get to carried away, but now is clearly not the time for. Things are going too damm well right now.

Until next time
Always Believe

Shiiiiiit, good talk about the game. Seems like City are once again on the way up. Maybe we can keep bouncing all the way to the prem this time. If you told me we would be even mid table in the champ a few years ago at a cold tuesday night game when we lost 1-0 to Wycombe at home I would have said you were as mad as a gashead. In Johnson we trust. Siempre Crea!
