Only the play-offs left for City?
By: Matt P | April 20th, 2008Mamady Sidibe’s two goals just about killed off Bristol’s hopes of automatic promotion. With two games left The Robins lie four points off Stoke in second and six behind West Brom in first.
The first half of the match at the Britannia stadium saw Stoke dominate much of the match, opening the scoring on fourteen minutes before doubling their advantage later in the first half. Mid-way through the second half, Adebola pulled one back but the Potters held on to move three points clear of Hull in third and leave the Robins in fourth.
Amazingly City, who now travel to Sheffield United next Saturday, are the only team in the top eleven who have a negative goal difference, and although the automatic spots now look distant, Bristol only need two points to secure a spot in the play-offs. Now the team must focus on getting some form back and avoiding the feeling of failure if they do miss out on automatic promotion. The play-offs would still mark an incredibly successful season and there’s no reason why City couldn’t go up through that route.

Aye, I think all you guys can hope for now is the Playoffs. Though I do think that would be a massive achievement, lets not forget that.
