Thoughts on the Palace match
By: Matt P | February 19th, 20081. City need to show more confidence at home. We effectively played a 4-5-1 formation which often led to Adebola being left isolated up front. We looked much better after Byfield and Trundle had come on. Our goal difference count is not great and there’s a fair possibility that promotion could be decided on that. Every goal counts.
2. McCombe’s goal may well be an important one. A defeat could have killed confidence but the late equaliser will do the opposite.
3. Red ‘n’ White nights are great. The atmosphere last night was fantastic and was a great advert for City in front of the cameras.
4. Louis Carey is needed to shore up the City defence in the run-in. City looked shaky when under pressure and the defending for the goal was poor. Let’s hope the Skipper’s back soon.
